Description
A laser tube is an airtight container that contains mostly CO2 and other gases such as nitrogen, hydrogen, or helium. The mirrors are mounted on each end of the container. One is special because it is partially "transparent". The gas inside the tube is activated by electrical energy, produced by a radio frequency unit, and emits energy in the form of light. A part of this light - the most intense - exits through the partially "transparent" mirror and forms the laser beam. The other part of the light jumps back and forth, gaining sufficient intensity.
